Been There, Done That. I actually did buy the t-shirt.

So, thats France done. I’ve been putting this blog off for a bit, I dunno why really - and the fact that my site was down for most of today due to a server failure was not helping.

Disney Land Paris - Once you get past the kiddie stuff, its actually a really fun place. There are two parks, Disney Land, and Disney Studios. Disney Land contains the majority of the kiddie rides, but also has Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and Star Tours. Space mountain and Star Tours were my favourite, and Buzz Lightyear was fun because I pwned everyone with uber high scores. :P
Disney Studios contains a lot of non Disney stuff, like Rockin’ Rollercoaster, Armageddon, The Back Lot Tour and The Stunt Show. To be fair, the stunt show was rather awesome - a lod of cars doing crazy jumps and skids. Suffice it to say that Rockin’ Rollercoaster was my all time favourite. 0 - 60 in 3 seconds is an experience you have to experience for yourself to believe. :P

And yes, I spent €105 in the Star Wars shop… which included a t-shirt. :D

Anyway. What I really wanted to blog was this: XBLAZE!

Finally, a method of accessing the Xfire protocol from Mac OS X. It even detects games and logs game time too! A couple of features aren’t planned, such as voice chat, and in-game messaging, but I don’t care about those features. I can now talk to my xfire friends without having to use Windows. I have to give a huge thanks to Kainjow, the guy whos putting all the effort into writing this plugin, he’s made a lot of Mac users happy!

I don’t think theres much else to blog about… I’m going to go immerse myself in an alternate reality… bye!

Eventful… O.O

Well, this summer is certainly turning out to be one of the most eventful of my life.

First off there was LAN. Ragnarok III. Pure excellence in LAN form. Possibly one of the best LAN’s ever! Not only did it last for the best part of four days, it was extremely funny for the best part of a million years :P . First off, some links:

Retarded Browsers - This was probably one of the highlights of the LAN. We all made display pictures for MSN showing various states of the IE representation (you can see mine in my previous post) and Yin made a wallpaper (also below).

Aicha - This was also a highlight of the LAN - if it didn’t top the firefox video, then it came a close second. The funny thing about this video isn’t the song… it’s the guy’s dancing! Lol… Good times…

Through out the LAN, Will’s girlfriend kept phoning him… for seemingly pointless reasons. So Bean acted in the only way he knew how - he took the complete piss. It was hilarious to be honest - despite whether or not Will got a bit angry. Will and Bean did plan on having a curry before the incident happened. And afterwards Bean kept asking if his curry was ready yet! LOL! :D Pure Bean-ness.

Dan decided he was going to come to LAN. For one evening. And then leave the next morning. And he didn’t even do that. He also neglected to tell us he wasn’t coming. The funny thing though is that Luke, his younger brother, did come along, and stayed for about 2 days. Longer than Dan has ever stayed at a LAN that wasn’t in his own home. Although, having Luke at the LAN was like having an old family member, that no-one cares about staying at home when they should really be in an old person’s home somewhere. ‘Nuff said.

I also believe that this LAN granted me some kind of PC Healing power. As opposed to the recent PC Killing power I’ve been cursed with recently. Will’s PC refused to work at all. It kept freezing, blue screening, rebooting, black screening, locking - everything. At one point it even removed Windows from it’s own hard drive. Then I come along and lay my hands on it (nothing more, nothing less) and after reinstalling Windows to the very disk it removed itself from it worked. And hasn’t crashed since, so he tells me.
Then there was Rich’s PC. For some strange reason Client Tools for Netware Networks has been installed and had taken over his network settings, preventing him from using the network at all. We tried uninstalling it, but it locked up. We tried safe mode WITH NETWORKING, but the network configuration was completely missing when we tried to view it. Go figure. Anyway, all I did was a simple repair installation of Windows and voila. Everything worked fine. :) - Jam the PC HEALER. Formerly the Bane of PCs everywhere.

Richard finally bought my 7800GTX graphics card from me for £200. Yin bought my RAM from me for £60. But then got £60 back after we decided the RAM was faulty. I snapped a stick out of pure hatred for faulty components. Meh.
But him getting his £60 back meant that he could pay me for his ticket to Alton towers which I will talk about more in a moment.
All in all, I dubbed the LAN, the Money Making LAN, because people just kept handing me money, be it for gfx cards, Alton Towers trips, food, whatever.

Amongst the madness, the gaming, the Beanisms, the Luke insulting, there was much filesharing. I for one managed to leech about 23 gigs of (very badly written and filmed) porn. Along with LOST Season 1 (which I previously had, but lost… lol the irony) and Family Guy Season 5.

Continuing the theme of Eventfulness, Sofie managed to find a coach company that were doing a trip to Alton Towers on August 25th, and picked up from Cwmbran. So we thought we’d tag along. We managed to rally some friends, namely Yin, Bean and Truman, along with Sof’s friend Claire (if she’s able to come) and my siblings.

But thats not before Sof and I go to Disneyland Paris for a week. Whoa! It turned out that Sof’s parents have booked a trip to Disneyland Paris for a week to celebrate Sof passing her foundation degree. Thats another event. Not to mention it being only one week after LAN. Madness.

And if thats not enough, Sof and I are headed off to Centre Parcs in Nottinghamshire along with some of Sof’s extended family. Now thats going to be mad. A long weekend of shooting, falconry, swimming, archery, treks and bike rides. :P - Lets just hope I’m fit enough…

Just after all that… my second year in Uni begins and Sof heads off to London. :( . I’m gonna miss her, but we’ll see each other often enough I’m sure. I think It’ll be around that time that I somehow miraculously become kitted in epics on WoW. :P lol.

Anyway. I think thats enough for one post. (I finally managed to get rid of the rich text editor in Wordpress…. Why is the option to turn it off in such an obscure place?!)
