A Little About Me:
I’m currently a third year student at University Of Wales, Newport studying for my BSc (hons) Computing degree. I passed the first and second years with rather high grades, and praise from my tutors.
As such, I have a huge interest in the world of computing and the internet. I’ve built my own computers from scratch, and am currently exploring deeper into the world of Apple Macs. In my spare time I like to call myself a Software Developer (albeit an amateur one).
I have taken over the XBlaze Project - an effort to bring Xfire to Mac OS X. It is both a personal desire and an educational exercise. It has improved my knowledge and skills with Objective-C and Cocoa (and they continue to improve).
I enjoy playing, listening to and writing music. My favourite genre of music is currently Progressive Rock, bands such as Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment and Pink Floyd. I taught myself to play guitar, and have been playing for almost 6 years now. I have 4 guitars: An Aria Mac 57/7 (7-string guitar), B. C. Rich Beast, Jackson Rhoads RX10D and an Aria STG Series. I also tried to learn to play Piano, Drums and Flute, but maybe they just weren’t for me.
Another of my largest interests is gaming. I particularly enjoy FPS’s, RPG’s and RTS’s. My favourite games are the Final Fantasy series (at least all of them up to FF8), Return To Castle Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory, World Of Warcraft, Quake 4, F.E.A.R, Half Life 2, Battlefield 2, Star Wars Games… etc etc etc. I play these games with my fellows at LAN parties which we randomly decide to have.
I enjoy a fairly active social life, which mainly includes my beautiful, and lovely girlfriend, Sofie =) . I do almost everything while I’m with Sofie. We spend a lot of fun time together, and I enjoy every moment of it =) .
